    Dr. Rodrick McKinlay, Bariatric Surgeon Rodrick D. McKinlay, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries at Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians in Salt Lake City, Utah. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University graduated, where he graduated summa cum laude. He then went on to the University of Utah to earn his medical degree, graduating with honors in medicine and surgery. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Arizona. Dr. McKinlay then focused on research through a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) at the University of Kentucky, concluding the clinical element of his studies at the University of Maryland. Dr. McKinlay is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a fellow of the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (FASMBS). He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Salt Lake Surgical Society.
