    Considered experienced in the field of Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Lopez graduated from Medical School from Mexico’s Autonomous University. He specialized in General Surgery, having been appointed diverse renowned positions like General Director and Subdirector of Tijuana’s General Hospital on numerous occasions. Nowadays he plays the role of assistant surgeon in LIMARP, being the right hand of Dr. Pompa. They have a long history together doing hundreds of procedures as a team in the Secretary of Health’s Surgical Deparment’s Basic and Advanced Laparoscopic Program in Tijuana’s General Hospital. Being the propeller of the extramural surgery program in the State of Baja California he has done more than 5000 general and laparoscopic procedures.   He is known in the field of medicine for several masters’ degrees in quality control in patient care, patient safety and Hospital Certification.   He is a member of the Mexican Association of General Surgery and a certified specialist in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
