Dr. Matthew LeMaitre, Bariatric Surgeon

Matthew LeMaitre, MD is a board-certified general and bariatric sharing his surgical expertise at Steward Center for Weight Control at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center located in Brighton, Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and completed a residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. He went on to fellowship train in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.

Dr. LeMaitre is board-certified by the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. In addition to performing bariatric surgery, Dr. LeMaitre is a bariatric community advocate and speaker.

Dr. LeMaitre refers to obesity as "The One Disease", as he feels that it underlies most of the prominent health concerns facing Americans today.
