About UsA medium size hopsital built in the 1980's. It is a 410-bed not-for-profit, comprehensive, acute-care teaching hospital affiliated with East Tennessee State University. It is also a major medical referral center with Level I Trauma Care and the region's only dedicated emergency medical air transport service. A full range of specialty and subspecialty care services and some of the most advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques are available here. They provide private patient rooms and have separate specialized units for newborn, pediatric, medical and surgical intensive care. Johnson City Medical Center is Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. They have a Ronald McDonald house on the premisis for patients and their families.

I've been in better hospitals. The private rooms are very small, and very plain. There isn't much room for more than two visitors at a time and the furniture is a tight fit in the alloted space. The hallways can be noisy and More...
