Miami Valley Hospital Hospital

Between the staff and my surgeon, my 3-4 day DS stay was only an overnight in the hospital! The staff was fantastic, and understood what I needed.

My experience at Miami Valley was top notch. I thought the private rooms were nice in size and comfortable. The day shift nurses were awesome!! They made me shake recipes that were great! I walked the halls and met other patients doing the same. My doctor, Donovan Teel was excellent. My only complaint would be the company the Anesthesiologists used for billing. They were not friendly. They are not a part of Miami Valley though.

I really have nothing bad to say about this hospital or the staff. We had a very good experiance for my stay and my husbands 4 months earlier. I even stayed an extra night because I was nauseated and didn't feel comfortable going 2 hours home, and most people do not op to stay at the hospital longer but that is how well the staff and your surgeon cares for you. The rooms are a little small that would be my only complaint.

My surgery was Feb 15,2011 The entire staff was superb. I had surgery on Tuesday and went home on Thursday . The Hospital was very clean , The food was exactly what I should have and the custard was very good even if I could only eat two bites. Every one was courteous and very caring The bed and the bathroom were equipped with the items a bariactic patient needed. My care could not have been better I highly recommend Miami Valley Hospitaland My surgeon Dr Donavan Teel is awesome.

The only complaint I had was I didn't have a recliner in the room and they never came up with one. If that was my only issue, you know it was a great experience.

Parking is difficult for bariatric people. Rooms are a little smaller than I expected, but OK. The staff is well trained for bariatric patients. They handled by surgery perfectly and treated me with respect at all times. I would choose this hospital if I need again.

I haven't had many hospital experiences but this has been by far the best ever. Every single nurse and PCT was wonderful and understanding. Many of them had WLS themselves so they were beyond helpful and were very honest and open and encouraging. I felt so taken care of. They felt like a part of my family. They checked on me like they cared...even when they were technically off work. The bariatric ward at Miami Valley was simply awesome.

The staff was kind and encouraging.

I was very happy with the care I recieved I can't think of any altercations I had through the whole process.

I think that it is great that the hospital has it's own floor for bariatric patients. The staff is great and treats it's paitents with great respect.
