Barbara Allen Registered Nurse ARNP-BC

Barbara Allen is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with over 5 years of experience working in Bariatrics. She functions as part of the medical team to provide patient care and education before and after surgery. She works very closely with the surgeons and other members of the interdisciplinary team to help you with a successful weight loss journey. Barbara has been a nurse for 25 years and has extensive background working in the Intensive Care Unit. She obtained her Master’s in Nursing at the University of Southern Florida in 2005 and has spent the last 5 years working at Tampa General Hospital on their Bariatric Surgery team. She is a certified ARNP and a Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN). She is an active member in the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). She is the chairperson for the ASMBS sub-committee for CBN recertification.
