I'm so excited!

I went to the informational meeting yesterday and got to meet the surgeon and previous patients. A couple of them had RNY 5 years ago and are doing wonderful!

After listening to the information, which was pretty much what I'd already read about, and hearing personal stories from actual patients, I know I'm making the right choice. I won't be treated as a number or a cash cow, I'm an important person to them with concerns and feelings! Dr. Heydari's staff is behind you 100% and willing to help you where ever they can. I will have access to dietitians, surgeons, psychologists and nurses for the rest of my life.

Not only is the staff super friendly and supportive, but the mortality rate is 0% at their facility! Isn't that awesome! They only perform laproscopic RNY's, but the benefits over open is wonderful.

I will be finishing the paperwork tonight and get the ball rolling! I have to wait until July to schedule my WLS, but I want everything set in stone now!
