The George Washington University Hospital

"I stayed at GWU Hospital for 3 days after my surgery, and it was better than I expected. First, they have an entire unit just for Dr. Afram's WLS patients. The nurses on the unit were sweet, repsonsive, and sensitive. I was also given my own room, which I never expected. I thought that was great, because I was able to have total privacy whenever I wanted. I thought the surgical center staff was very senstive and caring, and answered every question I had, and allowed me to feel very comfortable even though I was quite nervous, both in the pre-op room and even when I was wheeled into the operating room-they all made me feel comfortable, so I "went to sleep" with the feeling that I would be very well taken care of. The recovery room staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, I would feel very comfortable going back to GW if I ever had to have any other kind of surgery."
