The operation

Aug 10, 2009

I had my surgery on a Monday, and was home by Wednesday afternoon.  Outside of getting inside my body and finding that my spleen and stomach were literally attached to one another, my surgeon managed to laproscopicallly do an awesome job of creating my sleeve despite the obstacle presented.  I was very sore and druggy when I woke up, but managed to be up and walking within 2 hours of getting off the chopping block.  I came home without the tube (thank you Jesus) and started my road to recovery.

My new life

Aug 10, 2009

I began this journey while I was about 7 months pregnant with our new son.  I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, which scared the crap out of me.  Pre-eclampsia without pre-existing high bp is one thing...but to develop it because of your existing high bp causes one to wake up.  I went to the seminar about a week or two before I delivered...I was in my consultation the week after my delivery...and I had my complication free surgery on 9-3-09.  I love God, and I acknowledge that all of the blessings that have and are to come are from Him.
