Hi Lisa, I love your story and it is very inspiring. My surgery is scheduled for December 6th and I am so excited to get started on a journey for a thinner me. My daughter lives in Hillsborough, maybe we can meet sometime and share our stories. Enjoy the new you and thanks for your blessing.

Hi Lisa, I hope you are still doing well. I was shocked about your problem with the bleeding but oh so happy it came out ok. I have surgery June 30 and am excited and worried as you can remember you were. You are well on your way to a lifetime of health and happiness! YOU GO GIRL!

Hi Lisa, sorry to hear about your stay in the hospital. I have gotten that feeling before and no one took me serious either. They told me it was from my IV also. You will be in my prayers. Take care. RNY 9/02 213/132

Hi Lisa, I was going to comment on your question about the bad taste..I have it too and as Karen stated, it is ketosis which is the burning of fat. Ketones are released from your body through breath and urine. So make sure to drink plenty of water. It will get better. I wish you the best and pray that your WLS journey goes as well as mine has. Hi Lisa, I know this is such a horrible taste in your mouth... but as long as it is there it means you are burning fat... so this is a good thing... I have a ton of sugar free mints in my purse... and those listerene strips... but keep in mind you are burning the keytones in your fat cells when you have this bad taste... so it really is a good thing.... good luck on your wls journey...
