My name is Joni and I am 51 years old. I have been overweight since I was about 25 and morbidly obese since I was about 35 years old. I have been wanting to have surgery for about the last ten years. I could never find a pcp that would agree. I finally talke my current pcp into writing a letter and got to have a consultation with a surgeon. Now my biggest concern is wether or not my insurance will cover it. I beleive that I have done everything correctly but you never know. I read about BCN on this web site and it seems about 50/50. I just had gallbladder surgery does anyone know how the pain compares to a lap. RNY? Just wondering. I will add more as I get further into the process.
