WLS in August

My date is set for August 6th. I am excited and nervous. 

I'm feeling the same way!!

I will have my last appointment with the nutritionist August 6th, then it will be submitted to insurance. My surgeon is pretty confident I'll have the surgery in August. I'm having lap band surgery. Would love to tag along on the process with you all as well!

Hi! You're welcome to tag along. Hopefully you'll have your date in August. I'm tagging along with the people on the July 2014 forum. It's helpful to follow people who are just ahead of me in the process. :-)

My surgery is also on August 4th! I have a meeting with my surgeon tomorrow to discuss some things, I had to switch from VSG to RNY because of reflux. Then one last check in with my primary care physician, my preop nutrition and preop surgical appt. :) I am sooo excited!

Hello All, I'm also in the August club. I head in for RNY on the 7th (hopefully that's a lucky day for both me and the surgeon!). The nutritionist that my surgeon uses has us do a 4 week liquid diet for our pre-op and I'm on day 2 of that.

Welcome to the club! Wow, a 4 week liquid diet!  I have to do a 2-week diet (4 shakes + 1 meal). I just had the instruction meeting tonight and I start the diet on the 21st. I'm not looking forward to that, but I know it isn't forever and it will help the WLS process, so it's worth it!
