Yea I very rarely go on there anymore. Fortunately my one friend that I do have that is local and has an RNY is nothing like that, and even she gets irritated by the way people behave on the board.

I'm always here to chat though, even though I look like a chipmunk at the moment

This bickering back and forth reminds me of my daughters days in Middle School. Some of the girls can be so nasty and say such ignorant and sometimes hurtful things. I don't see much difference between that and some of the bullies who post on these boards. Ignore that woman, you're right, she doesn't own the board and there's lots of people out there who benefit from your experience. Don't let her get to you. It's not about DSERS or RNYER's - it's just about support. Hang in there - I for one enjoy reading your posts.

Hi Debbie, After reading you response I was worried that maybe I didn't come across clearly. My comment was not a surgery war thing sooo not my intention if it came across that way. I only meant that if many of the CA DS'ers leave then who will be left to answer any possible questions that may come up with accurate information and provide support to the DS'ers that do choose to stay. I too support the success of all surgery types on my provincial board and any other forum because it's a mixed bag of people just like the main board and all the other non surgery specific forums are.

I think most of the state boards are RnY territory. Boring as crap from what I have read, too!

I try to post something on the Michigan board at least once a week. Usually just a nice response to someone. It bugs the crap out of a handful that blocked me after they stirred up some **** the thread I started on that board got moved to R&R, and they got their asses handed to them. They really don't seem to know that everytime they make a swipe at me, a couple people PM what they write!

Generally, I like the people on the board, but it is not very active outside of the daily what are you drinking this morning & the question of the day. I am one of the few DSers though, so I like being able to get DS info out there -- when appropriate. Every single time someone has had a DS or Revision question, they have contacted me via PM. They know the board is RnY territory also.

If you can, stay patient. You'll have a lot more to offer (not that you don't already with your insurance battle) when you are a post-op and can offer the been there / done that input.

Highest Known Weight = 370# / 59.7 bmi @ 5'6"
Current Weight = 168# / 26.4 bmi : fluctuates 5# either way @ 5'7" / more than 90% EWL
Normal BMI (24.9) = 159#: would have to compromise my muscle mass to get here without plastics, so this is not a goal.

Yeah, the Michigan board pretty much sucks and I don't really get too much from it so I mostly stick here on the DS board where I can learn something. Especially after the "Worst. Post. Ever." ruckus. It is all the same *****y women posting on that board.

Call me naive, but I really wasn't expecting that reaction.
And the PMs those *I'm so sweet and innocent*s sent me were hysterical.
When these particular four were delusional enough to think they could hold their own on R&R, I just sat back and enjoyed the entertainment.
