Yes this is what I eat in a day.

6 cups of heavy whipping cream always,  love it so much with with whipped heavy cream in the can mixed with it.

About 1 stick of butter, 2 table spoons of coconut oil, 10 servings of nuts, about 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and that doesn't even count the 1 and a half lbs a day of meat  and about 8 oz of cheese a day. I eat about 7 to 8, 000 calories a day .I know it's amazing.

No because I absorb only about 5% to 7%  fa,t which would mean about  35 to 50 grams of fat a day. Dee

Topic: RE: No more oil slicks...is my DS broken?

I just had to put in my 2 cents.I am well over 4 years from my surgery, I ea,t are you ready for this about 700 grams of fat a day!!

I have a ton of oil slicks every day To me it;s fine I know my DS works great! I do believe if anyone wanted to know why oil slicks stop, it's because of not eating enough fat.. I control my weight by eating mostly fat, then protein, then carbs. low carbs.I do not have problems believe it or not with accidents. I feel I have to go, then I go. No problem I love my surgery. My weight is stable at 120 lbs.  Hope this helps.

Topic: RE: Clarification of malabsorption for ds
 Another malabsorption question?
If the villa grows for about 2 years after surgery then stops. the bodies way of trying to absorb more,
Then what would be the   cause after more time that the body can absorb more calories or
is it possible its actually hormones changing, age, a slower metabolism, and  more carbs.
causing inslin levels to rise causing more fat to be stored?
What ya fokes think?

Topic: RE: QUESTION FOR DSERS MANY, MANY, YEARS OUT!
Are their any DSers who have not gained more than 5-10lbs
from there lowet weight? I am wondering if many years out from surgery,
malabsorption still works as much as it did the first few years?
Any one on this board have surgery 15-20 years ago?
It will be interesting to see if any one answers.
Thanks!   Dee.

Topic: RE: UPDATE! 4 YEARS AND 3 DAYS
 Good morning,
Just thought I would let you know how I am doing  4 years after surgery.
Great! Why was my surgery great? 1, I don't go hungry, 2, I eat as much as I want,
3, I am really lean, 4, for the most part I feel good, but do have a few issues with vitamins
I have great malabsorption of calories and still have oil slicks, infact every day a ton!
My diet is a little different than most people on this board. What i do to stay so lean is
not so much protein my levels are great, I eat mostly fat, then protein, then carbs.
Thats why I have alot of oil slicks I completely malabsorb fats. Vita lady told me she thinks we
malabsorb about 95% fats. For me, I think thats true. I weigh almost  the same as my lowest weight
117 lowest today 120. I also do heavy weight training 5 days a week so I know it's muscle, not fat.
I am so happy I made the decision to have the surgery.
I miss the vets who use to post alot.
Have a great day everyone.
Dee.

Topic: RE: Malabsorption over time question??
Good morning, I was wondering if we have any observations about how many more calories we absorb after say 3, or 4, maybe more years? Does anyone know if the percentages change?
what I mean is, in the beginning it was about %80 fat %50 carbs, and about %50 protein.
Does the absorption of protein and carbs change but not the fat ?
I am almost 3 and a half years out from my surgery and things are changing.
I am now working out over 2 hours a day hard, 5 days a week to burn more calories and I am wondering if the malabsorption is going to just keep going and at what point it will remain. This question is probably for vets, But if anyone can give insite , that would be great!

Topic: RE: Has anybody tried Quest bars?
Hi Julie, I have been eating them for months .I absolutely love them, but I do get gas and bloating sometimes from eating them. I would try it out and see what happens for you. I tried the Oh Yeah wafer and I get bad gas from them and I know you don't. so maybe the Qwest bars will work great for you. Have a blessed day.  Dee

Topic: RE: Asafoetida For Gas/Smells? Hmmmm ...
Hi Becky,
Yes I tried flagyl did not help, Just about every food gives me gas and bloating I am taking probiotics, Primal Defence ultra. I do feel it is making my problem worse. I take 1 a day.  I do think if I just lived on meat my problem would not be as bad, but I find that impossible to do.  I do eat low carb every day . I think because I can eat so much food more than any DSer I know, I think that is part of my problem.  Just to much food, But I am hungry all the time. I was not tested for c.diff butI think that is a very good idea, since I don't know what else to do.  Any other thoughts would be so much appreciated. Thank you  Dee

Topic: RE: Do colonics help us who have constipation?
Bless you so very much for your response.  I am on Miralax now, I have upped my fat intake 400 grams a day,  I had slow bowel motility confirmed with six different tests in the last month.  Probiotic therapy was tried for a prolonged period of time. Enemas were extreemly painful so I could not continue.  I have not tried Colace but I have tried Dulcolax. Enzyme therapy  did not help with digestion or gas.  I have tried a modified elimination diet.  I am going for my first Colonic today   -   Huray!!!!  I will keep you posted.
