I did!!! You will love the surgeons there. They are both very kind and caring!!! Who are you suppsoed to see? Be ready when you have your consult to pick your date and declare which surgery you want. They have no problem with the Sleeve or the RNY you just need to tell them which you want. If you have further questions just message me!!!

Hi Nancy, I just had my consult with Dr. Casillas last Thursday and he is really super nice!! As long as you've been compliant with the Options program, including losing a little weight, there shouldn't be any problems getting in for your surgery right away. My surgery is scheduled for August 5th but I could have had it this coming week, that's how quickly it can happen.

Just be sure not to gain weight not even an ounce or he won't see you. He sent home one of my classmates from the bari program because she gained 8lbs during the classes. I saw him on the 6/30 and he said "not to gain weight and i want you to call me every monday of the week to see if you gained weight." I saw him again for my preop on wednesday, 7/15/09 and i lost a pound and he warned him not to gain but other wise he was very happy with me because he sees that i'm serious in losing weight and know that this surgery is a tool not a quick fix for my weight. I have my surgery set for 7/17/09 and he set it at the first initial appointment with him. The surgery appointment center called me 3days later to tell me my time to come in and my surgery time. so good luck!
