I'm thinking pureed meat is gonna be pretty gross...

Just stick to things that sound reasonably tolerable to you.  I could never puree tuna or something.  I could manage it with scrambled eggs and feta though, because it just seemed like the same idea as scrambled eggs and that didn't phase me.  Other than that I just went for foods that were naturally near puree anyway.  I lived off of protein shakes and yogurt though in the early days.

I bought some of the Underwood ham, chicken and beef. I would boil some eggs and take the yolk out, ma**** up with a little bit of light miracle whip, add a small amount of pickle relish juice and there I'd have what tasted almost like a ham salad or chicken salad pureed mix. I also ate corned beef hash and roast beef hash and mashed the little potatoes up. The meat is already a pureed stage. These were my saving graces during the puree stage. The Spam spread and potted meat spreads are okay if you like that but the Spam was too salty for me and I didn't care for the potted meat.
