Hello everyone! I just have to tell you all I have been a big fan of the Biggest Loser TV show since a few seasons ago, especially since I was going for my RNY surgery. I work out at a local fitness facility and I always go into the men's locker room sauna after my workout to just relax for a bit and there was a man that came in right after I did and we had some small talk at first, then I mentioned to him about my WLS and he was giving me congrats and then he said he has lost 142 lbs from a TV show he was on, I asked him which one, he said the Biggest Loser season 5. It was Trent Patterson, who was one of the 2 Alabama football players. Not sure if any of you remember, but I did! I told him he and all the other contestants were a big inspiration for me to succeed in my weight loss, even though they do it without surgery, which to me in my opinion is a little tougher. I was real happy to meet him. Told him I'm sure I'll see him around the gym. Not sure if this sounds cheesy, but I was happy! Well, hope everyone has a great week and keep on shedding those pounds! -Bruce.

Hi, Bruce.
It's fun to meet a celebrity. They're just people, but still...   I love the show, too, and agree that they're all very inspiring. I hope Trent is able to keep his weight off.
Thanks for sharing your fun experience.
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks 4 the reply Mary. Yeah, he seems like he works hard at the gym and seems to have a great attitude towards his diet, plus he has 1 son to motivate him and another on the way in April. It was just cool to meet someone on TV. I guess I don't get out much...ha ha. .....with 4 kids of my own, they keep my wife and I real busy.

My husband and I have 4 children, too. It's an adventure, isn't it. :)  Just know that you blink and they're grown and gone...unless they come back. ;)

  Pretty neat ..

(and I bet he didn't say something like, "I didn' take the easy way out"   )

Speaking of men's lockerrooms, please post this on the Men's Forum too (if you haven't already) ..

No, he didn't critisize the surgery at all. Said GREAT job and just had a great attitude. Thanks 4 the post. -Bruce.
