Hey Guys, it has been a long time since I have posted.  I am a year and a half post op from gastric bypass.  All has gone perfect, lost half of my body weight, from three sixty to one eighty.  I have had no problems untill now.  For the past  days, every time i eat or drink, I get a pain in my chest and start burbing.  Very weird, right?  I will call my doc later, but since I am up early, I figured I would pick you guys brains first.  Any sugestions guys?

You don't want them laughing AT you, you want them to laugh at your quick wit and sense of humor.  Good try though.

Oh man, I hear you.  Tell her that if she would like a $20 a month payment plan with you like she was planning to do with the IRS; Then you will be charging her rediculas interest on the balance, and while at it, just like the IRS, tell her to bend over and grab the lube.

OK, I speak from experience.  WEAR YOUR JIMMY!!!!  The last thing you want at your age is a baby, and we all slip one past the goalie once in a while, so maybe you should wear 2 Jimmy's.

OK, I'm guilty too.  Aafter 4 months of being on the right path, this week I did slip a few times.  My 4 year old forced me to cook ginger bread christmas cookies, so they were sitting around a few days.  I probably had 2 a day the past 3 days.  I will now go say my hail mary's.

Actually Cathi, if he is a man, he already knows where he is, where he is going, and what roads to take.  I would suggest getting him a semi nude french maid to clean the house while you are out shopping.

Good luck.

The last time I saw my weight on a scale that started with a 2 was back when Clinton was in office.  Today, 6 weeks after surgery, I saw 298.4 on the scale.  What a great feeling.
Back in January, I could not weigh myself on a home scale, and the one at my PCP office only went up to 350, and I tipped it, so I must of been 360.

BW 360/ SW 326 / Today.. 298

The last time I saw my weight on a scale that started with a 2 was back when Clinton was in office.  Today, 6 weeks after surgery, I saw 298.4 on the scale.  What a great feeling.  With my powerfull sense of deductive reasoning, I have now found the cause of my weight struggle..... The republicans caused my weight problem.  :)

Back in January, I could not weigh myself on a home scale, and the one at my PCP office only went up to 350, and I tipped it, so I had to be around 360 then.  On day of surgery, I was 326.  Today is a great milestone in my journey and I will never again step on a scale and see a number that starts in a 3.  To date, I have had no complications and no getting sick.  I did hit a stall 2 weeks ago where I stayed between 303 and 305, but I was weighing myself everyday.  I know, big mistake.  Last sunday was my last weigh in and it was 303.  I now will only weigh myself on Sundays.  :)

Hey Man.  I have tried the Any Whey.  I have tried it in soup and chili, very good, no real tate, just thickens like flower.  The best part of Any Whey is that you can heat it up without it clumping or messing things up.

Hey soon to be loser.  I had my RNY on Aug. 27, so I am 3 weeks post op.  The first 4 days were just mild discomfort, then it was all good.  I went back to work after just 12 days out.  I don't think that is the norm, and thinking now, I should of stayed out on disablity for longer, but I am fine to work.

I'm in the same boat.  I had my RNY done Aug. 27, lost 20 lbs the first 2 weeks, and nothing the past 6 days.  My doc told me the same thing.  I guess we should just stay off the scale, but it is sooooo hard.

Hey guys.  I am 17 days post op and the scale did not move at all this week.  What am I doing wrong?  I am taking in 80g of protein and about 800 calories a day, plus all my vits.  I know we all hit stalls, but at 2 weeks post op?  Is that possible?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thats great to hear Mick.  Keep up the great work.  If you ever get bored of walmart, you can always change it up a bit and cruise around the home depot too.

Hey Neil.  I just had my surgery 2 weeks ago, so my clothes are still wearable, but in about 3 weeks (hopefully) I will have some clothes for you.  I am in miami, so you would even be able to pick them up.  I wear about a 50 and 3x 4 x shirt now, but should be shrinking out of them soon.  Have some paitience and send me a private message in a few weeks.
