Thrilled about having a surgery date BUT...hubby's worried now!

I know of one death last February 2012 and the person was a nurse and she had very bad pains in her stomach but attributed them to being constipated or maybe pulling a muscle-bottom line was she should have gone to the hospital because any pain that is significant needs to be addressed-she had a twisted bowel and it ended up killing her because she waited too long to seek help.  Don't ignore  your body-if you aren't sure-post  the symptoms on here and most people will chime in and tell you it is either normal or get to the ER asap.  Good luck and don't worry-we all worry about dying -I had my will and POA all prepared before I went just in case.  You can die having your tonsils out so you never know.  There is always a risk with surgery, like there is with driving a car etc.
