So that little of carbs a day would put us into ketotis( spelling?) even before the surgery no?

There's no hard rule about ketosis. Common thought is that under 50 keeps you in ketosis. Atkins used 20 for induction. Some say 30.  Most people do go iinto ketosis but a few I have seen said they did not.

Cool. I have found I just slighting into it when I hit 50

i have the strips left over from my last low carb diet.. Hehe

I know we can go into ketosis doing the optifast prior to surgery - do we stay in ketosis after surgery as well?

It has to be Optifast 900.  That is the only Optifast any of the centres in Canada use.
