I don't have any prescription coverage and my 3 mth supply for Prevacid  from the pharmacy in Hamilton was $36. Why would yours be $475? That's crazy!

Don't know what the difference is but mine was 427 (sorry made a mistake when I said 475) for 3 months (180) pills.

That is what I paid for my 6 month supply.  We take one per day at St. Joe's, are you taking 2 per day? If not then you got the whole 6 months at once.

To the other posted that paid less than $40, you may have been prescribed the regular Prevacid capsules and not the fast tabs as they are about $90/month before any insurance kicks in.

Yes, I take 2 per day and I got all 180 pills, my insurance covered all

Was that your cost after insurance kicked in or the total cost?  If it's only $36 for 180 tablets then you got one hell of a good deal.  I kicked in about $36 for 3 months after insurance picked up the rest.  I wonder why St. Joe's Toronto has us on 1 per day and St. Joe's Hamilton has you one 2 per day.  I take the 30 mg fast tabs, is that what you are taking twice a day or are you on the 15 mg ones twice daily?

Hi Lynn, just checked the receipt and mine are 10mg twice a day for 3mths. So it is 180 fast tabs and that was the price I have NO insurance. The price was $24.38 for pills and $10.99 for dispensing fee, $35.37 total.  My total bill was $319.30 that incl the Prevacid, heparin injections for 7 days ($68.08), bottle of liquid Tylenol 3's ($31.89) and 4 boxes of OPtifast ($45.99 ea).

Here is another strange thing for you, Prevacid only comes in 15 mg and 30 mg so no idea what the 10 mg ones are.  LOL  I asked about taking them more than once a day and the pharmacist said I'd have to get a script for 15 mg since those are the only dosage they come in.  Even if yours are not Prevacid, am sure they are a PPI and that is all that matters or my pharmacist has no idea what he is talking about.

Lol too confusing, maybe I have a generic brand or something. When I go for the checkups they ask if I am taking my Prevacid. So many different things for everyone!
