A post entitled "Troll PSA" by Elizabeth N.  Didn't realize how much DSers hate VSGers.  Also watch out for the troll.

Not going to read it myself. All I can say is thank goodness for block lists so I don't have to read the BS posted by certain people when they make their way over here as they inevitably do.

Nooooo, the poster is pretty fair.  She pretty much says she dislikes all other WLS boards but her own.  She can't help herself though, it's a side effect of having the DS.

I liked to have the quote from my surgeon that said he would never recommend the DS for anyone unless they were up in the 700s and dying. He said the quality of life is poor with the DS and not worth the risk.
Tell them to put that in their pipes and smoke it!! LOL

I was attacked by them for daring to say my surgeon doesn't recommend the DS. They attacked me because he doesn't even perform it, LOL. Yeah, there's probably a reason for that, do ya think? The first poster to respond to me annoyed me but, it was just because I felt like she was pushing the DS on me. I researched it and did NOT want it or the RNY. Then another came along and told me "we all know we're going to see you on the revision forum when your surgery fails you." That's when I started blocking them. Eight people on my block list. Seven of them are DSers, go figure.

Truth though, only the most skilled surgeons know how to do the duodenal switch.   It is a fantastic WLS option especially when metabolic issues prevent you from losing weight.  Many higher BMI's greatly benefit from this surgery with both losing the weigh and keeping it off.

Sorry people are so rude.  The surgery is great though.

Best,
Leila
