Has anyone tried sipping ho****er like tea to try to get their water intake in.  It's so hard for me right now, i'm only 5 days post-op.  Its always been most difficult to drink water on an empty stomach as it makes me nausea.

Starting out, I did much better with warm drinks or room temp drinks than I did with cold drinks. Do whatever it takes to get the fluids in! It gets better every day!

Early post-opt I used the unjury protein chicken broth, its a good way to get both protein and water. It was also soothing on my sore throat and stomach.

I find even now at 2 months out that I can drink water that's heated slightly much easier than room temp or cold water.  Decaf green tea is a great alternative to straigh****er if you choose.
