FYI: I still have issues with plain water 10 months out

I'm not complaining or anything, just want to share this with others :)

At over 10 months out, I still have problems swallowing plain water.  I feels like it "gets stuck", unless I take very, very tiny sips.  My NUT says that some people have this issue with water, due to its pH.  If I alter the pH (by adding lemon, decaff, coffee, crystal light, etc), I have no problems swallowing.  I can drink anything else, like milk or wine, with no problems at all.

I am having the same issue... I am almost 4 weeks out. I thought it was just me... It is getting easier with time... but still hard to get 64 ounces in, in a day.

I'm 2 years out and still have issues with plain water! Interesting about the ph. I've never heard that. I do try to make myself drink water and ice cold with a straw goes down better, but I when I start feeling dehydrated I turn to Powerade Zero!

Have you tried switching it up to see if one might bode better; bottled water, spring water, filtered water, cold or ho****er.   One thing I found for me is get a fair bit in, right after I wake up in the AM, before breakfast, tummy is empty, intestines are empty....seems to go down faster then.

I've tried water of varying temperatures, and nothing helps.  The only time I can drink it at a somewhat normal rate, is when I am doing hard core cardio...

Me too! I've always thought this was weird. Water, 8 oz in an hour. Crystal light and such similar, 8 oz in 15 minutes. Makes no sense, but it is real and it's not just you!

EXACTLY.  I'm 7 weeks out and cannot tolerate plain water, bottled water etc.  The only thing I tolerate well is Snapple diet peach tea.  I never liked tea before.  I also worry about the potential for dehydration due to the diuretic affect of tea.  Good luck!
