Does my surgeon lack proper experience?

Yes, I'm in the northeast and same experience.  I did switch from a surgeon who'd only done 6 or 7 to one with more, however, because I was concerned about that.

Yea I'm going to stick with mine because from what I've heard/read he is a very skilled surgeon in general. Out of the 60-70 vsgs he's done, he's only had 2 leaks. How many has the surgeon you switched to done?

He had done around 50 I believe, no leaks.  I had to choose between 2 surgeons - both had the same # of vsgs, and one had about 2k bypasses, and the other 1k bypasses.  I went with the guy with less surgeries because I liked him better.  My sister works at a hospital and she said everyone she spoke with felt it was the total # of surgeries completed that was the more important #, not one specific surgery.
