Thanks!  The numbers feel really amazing too.  Life is so much easier to live at 199 than it was at 319.

Congrats on 9 months. Keep it up. You're at the time frame where lots of WLS folks burn out. Good that you are viewing it as lifestyle.

Cooper toxicity - keep us updated. I'm intrigued because I have a subnormal copper level that was inadvertently found when I went just slightly anemic two years ago. My anemia resolved quickly without much intervention, but the copper levels remain low no matter how much copper I supplement. We've done tests upon tests and nothing has been revealed. The only explanation that would make sense to me is that I don't even absorb copper. Must go right on through and out with the "back door". I only have trace amounts in my urine (after a 24 hour urine test - never again!). Go figure!

Congrats again on 9 months.

Thanks!  I knew this would never work unless I embraced it as just being the way life was going to be from here on out.  So far, so good.  It's been fun to explore what this new body and life can do for me :)

I will keep you posted about the copper thing.  I get retested in February, so we'll see how the increased iron intake impacts my copper.

Weird about the copper and that it doesn't even show up in your urine.  I've had to do a 24-hour urine test before and the ASMBS recommends that we get one every year for calcium excretion.  I'm -so- looking forward to doing that again :P
