I too am considered a "lightweight", although I never thought of myself that way.  I was a little worried I would lose too much weight and wouldn't be considered for the surgery, but I think the Dr's office has the scale set a little "high"... lol My BMI was 39.7 when I went initially had my pre-op appointment.

I had my surgery on 10/21 and am 2 weeks post-op and have been doing well.  My issue is I had my surgery in Virginia and I live in Michigan and will not have any support (groups, Dr., etc) once I get back.  I'm hoping this site will be able to help me when I have questions, concerns and issues.

Nice to meet everyone and from what I've read, this is a great forum to be on.

Thanks!

How do I get my ticker to show up in graph format?  I cut/pasted for HTML but it just shows the code...

You have to copy and paste the picture of the ticker rather than the code into your siggy space...it's crazy and I gave up on the tickers about a year ago. I typed my own stuff in the siggy line when I couldn't get it to change. Good luck!

Welcome, and Congratulations. Yep, the people here on LW are GRREAT. I don't live near enough to a support group, either (Not at the fuel prices we've had). I totally rely on this board! You will like it here.

Jodi-
Welcome, you will love it here, everyone is so friendly and helpful.
OT: I just moved to Co Springs from near TC, Interlochen to be exact.  I am pre-op trying to get the insurance requirements done.  Congrats on your surgery and joining the losers bench.

Thanks!

I'm glad to hear of someone else that will be by me.  Are you having your surgery from the GT surgery group?

I'm sure Munson has a support group I can look into once I get back.

It would be fun to meet some day and help each other out.

Welcome!

There may be support groups that welcome everyone regardless of who their doctor is. Often hospital support groups are run like that.
