7 weeks post op today - from size 20 jeans to size 14
WTG, I would loved to have shopped in my own closet at first but after years of being a size 16/18W, I had no older ones left...we had also gotten rid of dh's old ones.

good for you. I had been so fat for so long, everything was 20 or more. It did seem like a long time to get out of those, I guess the swelling and stuff then sizes went down faster. I couldn't have had anything to wear without thrift stores. Still do most of my shopping there and have a much nicer waredrobe than I did when I was buying new.
Just don't get too attached to them, they will be sliding off your tiny rear soon enough.

Congratulations! Now just wait until your other cheeks hurt because you've lost so much fat that you're sitting on bones!
I started in 22/24 and the smallest size in my closet went down to 18 so I had a whole new wardrobe ahead of me. I love WLS support group clothing swaps and good thrift stores. I recently found an upscale thrift store that was pricey but had great designer clothes much cheaper than retail. I remember the first day that I got into size 14 I felt like the world was so much brighter!
Sunday I went to try on new cords for work because my 10's from last year are getting baggy. I was so delighted that I could get into an 8 in the same pant. I have always said that I would really feel like a success if I could wear a single digit garment.
Have fun with all the changes your body is going to delight you with in the upcoming months!

Lee,
I did the Optifast program twice over the last 4 years. I gave my clothes away to my sister the first time and then the second time I had to buy all new clothes when I lost weight - darn. I kept most of my favorites. I have 4 boxes in the garage marked 140 lbs. So I will be shopping in my own garage for a while but I'm excited to think about a single digit too. Thanks for mentioning that - my new obsession HA!
