Approved...pre-op testing...liquid diet

So, I went for my pre-op testing today and was told my blood pressure was too high. I have never had high blood pressure and I am hoping it was because the nurse didn't use a larger cuff and the pain she caused me was extreme that with the anxiety of the day and upcoming surgery date is a lot to manage.  I have been instructed to test my blood pressure for the next week but if it continues to be high, the risk of stroke is too great and I won't get to have surgery.
