Well I just finished day 2 of my preop diet. Surprisingly it hasn't been too bad so far. The protein shakes are a God send. With out them I would be starving. Today I got a pretty bad headache toward evening but it's better now after taking some Ibuprofen. Yesterday I visited my Dad. He is 5 days out of having a total knee replacement and is having a terrible time with pain. I'm upset that he sounds like he is drugged (slurred speach and all) but he is still in excruciating pain. I told him about my surgery and he was supportive - which I expected - but I don't know if he will remember me telling him because of the meds he is on. My husband told my brother. He already knew I was looking into it. I haven't said anything to my sister or my other brother yet. I plan to tell them eventually.I pray that this liquid diet continues to go well.
