Pain and discomfort continues

Feb 17, 2010

I thought by now, 3 weeks post-op, and since the tube and stitches were removed, I'd be bouncing back (well, not exactly "bouncing" but you get the idea) to pre-op levels. Don't you believe it!! The pain continues, bearably manageable by the pain relievers, I can't keep much food down - when I didn't have that problem before - and I'm usually too weak to get out of bed.
I know that it may take up to 6 months for my stomach to work "normally" again - it's in the literature. It's just that so many people claim to have had no pain that I wonder if I am the freak here! A lot of it, I know, may have to do with my MS. I can't take as many meds as I did because they are all in pill or capsule form and have to be diluted in juice. With little or no help at home and with the weakness I feel, I'm lucky if I can get 1/3 of my usual meds. Pain was one of the symptoms I had with MS. Now, it's MS pain times 5!

I hope thngs get better soon. I don't know how long I can take it.
