liquid diet coming up soon..

Next Tuesday I start the liquid protein diet back up. Not looking forward to it, but I know its important and I will follow it. I am supposed to have a liquid protein drink for breakfast and lunch and for dinner I can have a lean cuisine. It was really rough being on it the last time but I made it through. I have gained a few lbs back since stopping the liquid protein diet. My surgeon said I could relax a bit on my diet and just to resume the liquid protein diet a week before surgery. So Tuesday will be the day I start back up on it. Although I think I might supplement some shakes for breakfast, etc this weekend just to give myself a little boost. I am really kind of bummed that I gained back a couple of lbs. I got so excited when the scale said 329.6lbs. Now I am teetering right around 336-338lbs. Blah! It is crazy how easily it can come back on.I keep wondering what things are going to be like after surgery. Wondering if I am going to feel different. I mean I am sure I will have pain but I wonder if I will just feel different emotionally like a part of me is missing? Just the fact that 80% of my stomach will be cut out of me. I wonder how big my stomach even is and how much a stomach weighs and if I will loose any weight just from the fact of them removing some of it. I kind of wonder what it looks like too. The nurse said that they keep it and take tissue samples. I asked her when I had my final nutrition class what they do with it. I wanted to know if they just throw it away? She said no that they take tissue samples and keep it formaldehyde until they are no longer required to keep it on file.
I'm also wondering about my issues with pancreatitis. If it will improve and if I won't have anymore episodes of it. Or if this is something that I may have to continue to deal with down the road. I'm hoping it will be gone for good.
