Brian Lane, M.D., F.AC.S.
rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrn10/12/2007 I MET DR.LANES STAFF AND HIS SURGICAL ASSISTANT AMY. THEY ALL SEEMED VERY NICE. AMY SEEMED FULL OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE. SHE ASSIST DR.LANE IN SURGERY. I WILL MEET DR.LANE AT MY PRE OP 11/2/2007 AND WILL GIVE MY OPINION THEN. IF HE IS ANYTHING LIKE HIS STAFF, I WILL BE PLEASED. I WAS ALSO INTRIGUED THAT ON THE OFFICE WALL IS A CERTIFICATE FROM THE WALTER REED MILITARY HOSPITAL WHERE DR.LANE WAS CHIEF RESIDENT THERE AT ONE TIME. I BELIEVE IT SAID HE WAS A MILITARY MAJOR. (DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT). I JUST FOUND THAT IMPRESSIVE.rnrn11/2/2007...I had preop today and met Dr. Lane. I really liked him. GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER ! He took all the time in the world with me and explained everything from top to bottom. I think he was a good choice.rn11/11/2007 Dismissed yetserday ! Dr. Lane was great from start through now. He seems to really care for his patients. He treated me so respectful and really seemed to care about my health. I have only good to say about the man. I reccomend him to anyone without any reservations at all. He came once or twice a day to check on me in the hospital, when he dischaged me he gave me his email address, so I could just drop him a line on how I am doing or if I have any questions. He was just A+ in my book !

I Miss Everyone on OBH
on March 18, 2012 5:57 pm

To all my friends here on OBH. I want to apologize for not keeping up with all of you PERSONALLY. My life has become very busy since becoming a mother and I have had some health issues as well that keep me very busy. I have had blood issues for over a year now and have had 9 blood transfusions and 2 iron infusions. My doctor is trying to rule out Multiplr Mylenoma right now, which is a blood cancer. It is usually not terminal and usually does not require much treatment. It stays in the blood system causing the anemia and such, making one need the transfusions all the time. When one gets pain with it, then they can do radiation, but most times, it is just watched. I had clots in my legs in Nov and Dec and one embolized to my lung the first of dec, so my health has kept me busy. I am at the hospital or the doctor  for some reason at least 3 days per week.
I do check in on some of your profiles from time to time. When I say I miss you guys, it is from the heart. I truely miss a lot of you. We have shared so many of our personal experiences and enriched each others lives in one way or the other and I NEVER forget any of you. LORI YOUNG, I have tried finding you on facebook. You were such a dear friend to me and I know your life got busy too with your new business and your grandchildren, but I hope we can get in touch again soon. ALL OF YOU ON MY FRIENDS LIST, I wish you all the best and hope your still finding success every day since WLS. I got 2 pounds away from my goal and have stayed there for several years. My surgery was 11/7/2007 so my life has been forever changed  for over 4 years now. I had the excess skin removed 4 years to the day of my WLS. I had pannus removal 11/7/2012.
Again, I miss you all and I apologize for not keeping up with all of you here on OBH. I do keep up with a few of you on Facebook. PLEASE FIND ME ON FACEBOOK AND ADD ME, I am under April Titus Lopez in Logansport, Indiana. I am on facebook daily because I share my daughters photo's and my little families adventures and such daily on there, so I can keep up with family and friends in other states. I WELCOME ALL OF MY OBH FRIENDS TO ADD ME.  I look forward to catching up and reconnecting with you guys. I think of you all often. we have all been through a lot together and I have never forgot any of you. Hope to connect on Facebook.

Love and God Bless to you ALL !

PANNUS SURGERY DONE !!!!
on November 11, 2011 8:37 pm

Hello everyone. I just wanted to make a quick post and let you all know I had my Pannus removal surgery and all went well. It was very painful, but I lost ALL my excess skin and belly fat and even though I am suffering right now in pain, I am thrissled with excitement for the results. I have a lot of swelling, but she took a lot off of me. It was 14 pounds of excess skin and fat !My belly looks pretty flat. I have a 30 inch incision around my waist going towards my back bone on both sided and she also did a vaginal lift, so I have staples there too. I am so grateful insurance paid for this. They never even tried to deny it. I was blessed to have a wonderful surgeon. She is a general surgeon from Kokomo, Indiana..only 30 minutes from my home. She is awesome in my book. When I feel better I will post some pics. I hope everyone is doing well and still enjoying this journey, it's been a great one for me.

GETTING PANNUS REMOVED
on October 26, 2011 9:41 am

Insurance approved to have my pannus area removed. My doctor submitted for approval and 3 days later with no problems, it was approved. I am haveing paneculetomy NOV 7, 2011. I am so excited. This is the final stretch to such a long journey. My weight has been stable for 2 years, but I had a large apron of hanging fat and skin. It was adding to my pain in my back and I look forward to getting it off and getting some pain relief in my back.

ALL IS WELL AND LIFE IS HAPPY !
on June 7, 2010 10:46 am

HELLO ALL OUT THERE IN OBH LAND, JUST WANTED TO DO A QUICK POST. I AM DOING PRETTY GOOD, THE PREGNANCY IS GOING WELL. I AM ACTUALLY 163, SO I HAVE LOST 4 POUNDS MORE. I AM A LUCKY ONE WHO'S FIRST TRIMESTER HAS BEEN BATTLEING HYPEREMISIS GRAVIDARIUM ( I PUKED AND PUKED AND PUKED, LOL) IT'S TAPERED OFF AND THE DOC THINKS I WILL START TO GAIN A BIT IN MY SECOND TRIMESTER. HE SAID HE WANTS ME TO GAIN ABOUT 25. YIKES, THAT WILL PUSH ME NEAR THE 200 POINT, BUT OH WELL, I WON'T STRESS BECAUSE IT'S FOR A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE BABY AND NOT OUT OF ME GORGING MYSELF. IT'S SO HARD TO GET PAST THE MENTAL BLOCKS THAT OBESITY HAS INSTILLED UPON US OVER THE YEARS. I STILL SEE THE 359 POUND FAT GIRL, THAT REALITY OF BEING 165 HAS NEVER SETTLED IN MY HEAD, MAYBE ONE DAY.
I HOPE ALL OF YOU ARE DOING WONDERFUL AND ENJOYING THE SUMMER SO FAR. MY BEST TO ALL OF YOU AND I REALLY DO MISS TALKING WITH ALL OF YOU, LIFE HAS JUST BECOME SO BUSY BUT I DO CHECK UP ON ALL YOU THROUGH YOUR PROFILES FROM TIME TO TIME AND STILL ROOTING FOR ALL YOUR SUCCESSES. GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
