6 days on pre-op liquid diet... 5 days til Surgery!

Finally the liquid diet is getting easier. I'm not as hungry as I was on day 1 which is awesome. I'm starting to get super nervous about the surgery but I'm not going to get cold feet. I think my nervousness is coming from fear of being in pain lol. I'm a big baby when it comes to pain lol. Plus I don't like staying in a hospital over night by myself but I will because I have before, I just don't like it. I know in the end this is what I want. I want a healthier life and I want out of my fat suit. If going through some pain to get what I want then I will and I will smile the whole time.

Hi there, I am here in Ewa Beach. I am 8 months post op, just met Dr. Payne yesterday, new to the island. He is AWESOME and I LOVE his nurse. I am also and Army wife. If you need anything at all from please, please let me know! I am flying out the night of your surgery to the mainland, but I will be on here a lot or I can send you my cell. Back on the 18th..

We live here on Schofield, hubby works on Wheeler. Dr. Payne is precious, such a sweet man. I seen where your grandson is having heart surgery. He and your family will be in my prayers. I have a 4 yr old son and I know that has to be tough on the little guy. Do you have Facebook?

You are gonna do great! I found that icepacks on my tummy have been really helpful to distract me from the incision pain and help me to relax. Lots of people only try heat which is nice but the ice has done wonders for me. It's really true about not being hungry and knowing when the next bite would be just too much even while I am on full liquids. Will be praying for you between now and when I hear you are home.
