5 days to go

Jan 06, 2010

Time is ticking on and I am getting very excited.  I have no anxiety, so this affirms to me that I have made the right decision.
Last night there was an article in our local newspaper concerning fitness and the writer's goals for the coming year.  Wendy is a young woman, early 30's, whom I have know since she was about 3 years old.  Her mother, my friend, died about a year ago from complications of M.S and cancer.  In her article she shared that this year she finally wanted to use her education as a fitness coach.  She has taken all the courses and has her acreditation but has as yet not used it.  This year she finally wanted to take on a client.  Her goals and mine seemed to mesh, so I called her and asked if I could be her first client.  She laughed and said she hadn't thought her goal would be achieved this soon.  Wendy knows the heartache of being obese having weighed over 300 pounds at times in her life.  She lost the weight by dieting and exercise, then got pregnant and gained it all back.  Once again she took herself in hand and lost the weight, wich she has kept off for the last 4 years. She was excited to hear from me and is eager to start a plan as soon as the surgeon gives me the O.K.  So now I have a personal trainer.  Another affirmation.  Things seem to be falling into place.  This week end I will shop for the supplies I need when I come home from the hospital.  I have also decided to buy myself some special really pretty and small plates and a couple of beautiful glasses to encourage me on my new eating plan.  Hopefully this will make my new meals feel special and encourage me to stay on the plan.  This web site has been so helpful and all your stories have really made me feel that I can do this and by next year I will truly be a new person.

Keep up the great work everyone
