It's been 4 days post-op.  Although emotionally and physically I feel better, there is still some soreness around the laproscopic incisions and some abdominal discomfort.  I almost feel like my guts are stil trying to find where to hunker down after my surgeon rearranged them.

I'm somewhat worried that "Seymour" my new pouch and instestines, as I've started calling him may inflict pain on me way past the time after I've exhausted my pain meds, so I hope the pain, more like the discomfort starts to subside.

I haven't weighed since surgery, but something tells me I'll be astonished when I do weigh.  Just in the 4 days since surgery, I feel like I'm swimming in an XL t-shirt.

One of the weird feelings I get is that I was normally someone "whose engine normally ran hotter than others", meaning I was always warm.  I've read online how some folks' "thermostat" gets readjusted after surgery.  There is, after all less insulation altogether.  Another feeling I'm dealing with is the feeling like I have a untapped "fountain of energy" ready to be used at a moment's notice: very weird.  Before surgery I felt lethargic and tended to "conserve" energy or not exert myself, but now I feel like I'm ready to go run a marathon...OK, maybe not just yet.
