Low Blood Pressure is a Doozie

Jan 08, 2013

So, I had the sleeve on 12/28 and had a very good first week as far as recovery goes. This week I noticed I wasn't feeling as good, I seemed more tired than normal. I was on high blood pressure medication prior to the surgery and my surgeon informed me that I needed to check by BP daily and if the systolic pressure dropped below 100 not to take meds. Well it hasn't. But today was 103 and yesterday was 107. After I did 30 minutes of cardio this morning I found myself really tired.

I decided I should probably check my pressure and it was 80 over 51. No freakin' wonder I felt so bad.. Needless to say I have an appt with my PCP tomorrow and I won't be taking any BP meds in the AM. This is definitely a learning experience every day. I'm thinking the 100 threshold was too low!! Oh well, live and learn.
