9 months post op

Jun 28, 2010

My 9 month mark was on June 25th. I was going to say that not alot has happened in the past month but that wouldn't be true. The weight is still coming off ever so sloooowly. One to Two pounds a month now. Not the fastest progress, but its still progress so I'll take it! Some of the WOWS I'm experiencing are being able to run 1 1/2 miles without stopping, having energy at the end of the day, shopping and buying size 10 and 12's. I must say...I love shopping now!

Since my weight loss has slowed down so drastically in the past couple of months I decided that I needed to stop snacking so much. So this past month I really started watching it and while it did make a difference with the weight loss, I learned something else, I think I'm hyperglycemic. While this isn't something completely new, I do believe I suffered from it prior to surgery. So now I just bring some PB crackers and trail mix with me whenever I go somewhere. If I eat a little something every couple hours I don't have a problem. It's just if I try to go over three hours without any food that I get a little light headed and woosie. Also, I have noticed that if I eat anything with sugar or alot of carbs I get really drowsy soon after. This is really a trial and error process.

I still love my RNY!
