Week 1 Reflections

Jan 17, 2010

Well it's the end of Week 1 in my new and healthy life, which includes eating less than 1,200 calories a day, and getting at least 15 minutes of exercise a day. That includes leaving out of my diet the things that I love but won't be able to have after my surgery, which is of now less than 6 months away. I'm waiting until school's out, since I'm a teacher I'll have a whole summer off to recover and adjust to the demands of my new life hopefully about the same that is happening now.

This week was very tiring for me. I was, for lack of better term, EXHAUSTED. But I do realize that I was going from like 4000 + calories a day to 1200 or less, so I expected it. Today I'm feeling a little better, even though I definitely struggled through the weekend.

When I'm  home on the weekends, I'm bored-to some degree. I guess I'm a bored eater. I did good though and if I did eat it was a healthy snack, did I go over my calorie intake, YES... but I just keep telling myself. "Baby Steps, Baby Steps!" I'm making a huge effort here, I should give myself some credit.
