A New Dawn

Feb 28, 2010

This is my first time writing on my blog, I never filled it out cause I never  truly thought this would happen (meaning having the Ds). I have been going through the process for almost 2 years now, first thinking of having the RNY and then reading about the DS and then knew there was no way turning back this was the surgery I wanted. First off I would like to say I have been reading the OH site for a long time, and all you wonderful people on this site have helped me so much, in learning  what I must do and must not do. Thanks to each and everyone of you.

Now about me, I am 48 years old with 3 kids and 3 wonderful grandsons. I have been over weight all my life and have struggle with the things I have dream about doing and the things I have missed out on. I just want to have a normal health life. Not the one you have to plan ahead every move you make, will I fit in that booth, will I be around people that will make me feel uncomfortable. Can I walk down those stairs and back up. Living with the pain of ever day life, joints hurt, knees hurt back hurts, Etc. I want to play with my grandsons on the floor, ride a roller coaster and more then that I just want to LIVE LIVE LIVE.
I have been waiting for Dr Husted and the hosp to become a COE for over a year now, and I have sit back very patiently and waited. But now that is never going to happen. So thanks to all you from OH and your suggestions. I have called Dr Inman office and I now have appt to see her March 11,2010 and hopefully this is the start of my new life and moving forward to a happier and healthy me.
