my day of and after surgery on june 23rd

thank you all soooo much for all of your warm wishes and prayers....all went well with surgery...was giving myself time to pull it together....ok so here we go..i had to be at the hospital for 6am checked in and waited...i didnt get called up to prep room until 9am and some nurse name charlene talked me to death dont know about what bc was thinking about surgery....so many people came and introduced them selves...i dont know who is/was who..i was getting poked..pulled..iv'd..wrapped..tucked and tied..so i see what u meant @ my sis S.M...lmao..and i didnt actually go into surgery until 11am and I was done by noon....how about i was in the recovery room from then until a little after 5 pm..bc they said the room i was getting the patient hadnt check out and then once they did they had to wait for housekeeping to clean it up..the nurse who was so nice to pump me with morphine every time i cried pain which i loved..was getting a bit irritated bc everyone one was getting off except her..all they gave me was 2 small ice chips..lmao thank god i wasnt hungry..so she finally decided to wheel me down there and they gave me my own nice private room...allllll the way down at the end of the hall...where i began to think the nurses were forgetting about me...so 1st night in my room and i'm told i'll go home tomorrow...yeppie...ok so 1st nurse comes in rushing said her name so fast i dont even care to remember..her words were im about to get off we are changing shifts and your new nurse will be in shortly sooo...i asked for something for pain she said ok..however never returned until she was with the new nurse who said hi..so i said to the old nurse you forgot about me i asked for pain meds and you never came back she responded OH im sooo busy running back and fourth doing paper work...checking in on patients and something else...before i could build up the strength she dashed out the room and the new nurse said ill bring you some...oooookkkkk hours later she comes with meds and so im so sorry i forgot your meds...so of course im like what the hell is going on in here no one wants to works...ok moving on..ok now all thru out the nights...they coming to check vitals, temp, and omg my sugar...o i hate the finger pricks...did i say i hate em...i mean needles and ivs dont bother me...but those pricks were horrible..ok all thru out the night im thinking only a few more hours and i can go home.....well for some reason I couldnt shake the nauseous feeling and chest pains so my doctor came in the morning and told me i was staying bc i was vomiting..so now ok looking forward to saturday..bc just like thurs...friday night was the same exact thing..so needless to say they kept me from thursday. until sunday and i was freed...lmao..to go home by 8 am..as of today...i feeling much better by each day...i wasnt giving any prescriptions..but im fine.....im trying to get all the liquids in but its hard...so i make sure i at least get all my daily proteins..well at least a little over 60 grams..and about 40 ounces of liquids and my vitamins....before I left the hospital i weighed 387 and my 2 week follow up is july 11...i try to walk about 30 mins to an hour a day back and fourth thru the house...also was sooo excited to finally jump in the shower...lol...smile....
Oh and i'm feeling pains every now and again it depends on what im doing...i went to the store today with my partner and that was fine i didnt do to good on the bumpy streets...oh yeah now its really hard trying to get in all the liquids and proteins and vitamins im suppose to in a day...my stomach cant take it all....but i got some protein shots and pour them in powerade zero..ea shot is 32 grams of proteins and ea powerade zero is 32 ounces... so we will see how that works....i use to love the protein shakes..now my taste buds dont like it...so will have to cont. to work on getting in more protein some other way.....but in a nutshell thats my story....oh also before i left the hospital i was 387
