Pre surgery WOW moment

Today I realized how much my changes have helped me already to become a healthier person. I’ve got more pep in my step and overall more energy since I’ve added more protein to my diet, cut out the refined carbohydrates and started using the CPAP. (blehhh… I’m still getting used to that bit.)
This morning, I was early for an appointment. The radio was telling tales of heavy traffic so I gave myself extra time to make it through the city. I ended up being 30 minutes early. I looked around the concrete jungle and said to myself, “Self: I could stay in the car for the next 30 or just get out and walk.”
While the scenery was nothing to shake a stick at, I got out of the car and just started walking. I gave myself two small goals while walking. When I actually meet the second one I was so surprised. I think if I hadn’t had to go into my appointment I might have gone for another lap.
