What I’ve noticed so far:
Aug 20, 2010
· I’m better at keeping my food log during the week. I tend to get a bit off track on a non-work day. · I can drive past Fast Food places without feeling deprived. I may have to have a conversation with myself, but healthy choices have won out 99.9 % of the time · I keep healthy snacks in my glove box & office and water handy so I’m not hungry when I pass by those temptations. · I’ve lost an average of 0.88lb per week while learning these behavior modifications. · All my jeans are too big and I have to wear belts. In fact my largest jeans I don’t even try wearing. · My wedding rings are getting loose. · I eat much less processed carbs. I might have a few but I don’t feel the need to glut myself to feel full. · Thoughtful eating can be pleasurable: No books, not TV, no multi tasking · If I have a small amount of something it’s more enjoyable than a huge quantity. · I have more energy · I still don’t like sweating but I like the results · I plan out my day better. I have to be aware of when I can eat and drink so I tend to use my time more thoughtfully. · My food bill is smaller since I’m not throwing out unused food as often. · I’ve learned not to swallow my gum · I can treat my aches and pains with Tylenol Arthritis · In general I feel healthier · There are times when I eat because I’m bored, but they are becoming less · I’m learning not to eat in front of the TV · I can’t consume any product with Equal in it. But I can have Splenda. · I’ve lost 17lbs from my highest weight so far.
