onwards and upwards

Thursday my husband and I meet with Dr G. this was the meeting to review all my pre-rec's and make sure everyone is on the same page.  Basically what that means is that I'm good to go.  She was impressed that I'd lost 10lb since I'd seen her the first time. 

Only problem was that I've screwed up with one of my meds and didn't stop taking it soon enough.  This group will not do surgery if your on Birth control and you have to be off of it for 4 weeks prior to surgery.  I know I had heard that at some point but I just assumed it would come up in conversation at some point.  So Fail on my part.

You might say humm.. 4 weeks isn't a terribly long time to wait but... Dr. G is getting married (Congrats!!!) and will be on honeymoon out of Country.  So she won't be doing any surgeries the week prior to her leaving and that would be my 4 week mark.  Which I completely get I'd hate to have the surgery and then not have my doc available if I needed her.  So I'll have to wait till the end of Oct beginning of November for a date.

All may paper work has been sent to the hospital and I'm just waiting for the admission people to call up with a date at this point.
