January 2010, the beginning of my WLS journey

I am 51 years old (look and act much younger :-) and currently live in West Toronto. I have been overweight since I was a teenager, and obese over the last two decades. I am really good at losing weight and have lost 40-50 lbs several times, only to gain it back, plus a bit more. I am so tired of carrying an extra person around and am now at the point where I want to take action and do what works the best and has the best chance at keeping the excess weight off my body for the rest of my life.

I am and have pretty much always been single. I have zero confidence that any guy would find me attractive and have not even thought of having any kind of relationship for ages. Hopefully this will change as well. I deserve to have someone wonderful in my life.

I love dogs (I have a yellow labrador retriever) and photography. I have only lived in Toronto for less than 2 years so I'm also looking forward to meeting more friends here.

As of January 2010 my weight loss surgery journey is just beginning. Here's to an interesting year!
