My post surgery journey and 3 month check up

Over the past week or so my wife has been getting jeans out of the attic that I haven't worn in years. I used to be wearing a size 48. As of yesterday I was able to fit into a size 40. It felt so good to be able to get into those jeans. It has been at least 6 years since I have worn that size. I had my 3 months post surgery check up yesterday. The whole time driving down I was so nervous and praying that I had finally gotten under the 350 pound mark. Well I made it......I am now at 341 pounds and going down. I do not go back for another check up until Janurary 11, 2012 and my doctor wants to see another 30 pounds off by then. I am hoping and pushing myself to have more than that off. I have never felt this good in years. My wife and I stopped to see my dad after my appointment and it feels to great for him to tell me how good I am looking. For years all I have ever heard from him is how big I was and that I needed to lose weight. Then I looked at a picture that he has on his fire place that was taken of my wife, our son and I in June of 2009 when we went to Bethany Beach, Delaware. Looking at myself in that picture and looking at myself now is amazing at the tranformation already taking place. I can walk with more ease and don't get out of breathe so easily. The sleep apnea is all but gone away. I don't have to use my two inhalers any more at all.
