A walk on the weak side.

Apr 02, 2010

So around 2pm I decided that I would take my son out into an open field and let him and me get some sun and playtime in. I had no idea how out of shape and overweight I really am until I tried getting up off the ground to go walk around. As I got up I could feel every muscle and bone trying to adjust themselves to the large loud they are carying. My back felt like it had been kicked by a horse, my legs felt like they had 30ib weights attached to them, and my  feet felt like they were about to give way. It isn't that hot outside. Actually, it is rather nice yet I was sweating like crazy. I'm sure I looked like I had been running a marathon.
When the struggling to get up was over, the walking part came. OHHH MAN!!! Every step I took I wanted to turn around and go back home but I had that voice in my head saying, "stop! think about it! WALK!!!". If I would have turned around it would have been a huge step back in me trying to get fit.
