6lbs from my goal!
on May 8, 2012 6:11 am
So right now I am so close to my goal!   It is a bittersweet victory for me.  I am scheduling to have a the droopy girls reduced however per the plastic surgeon she said there is not much there and to not loose anymore weight!  So what happens I drop seven lbs in a week.  I guess it it is what it is. As for reaching my goal I am so excited however my surgeon wants me to loose another 10-12lbs after I hit my personal goal.  I am not sure about that.  I guess I will just have to weight and see!!!!

Vintage!
on February 25, 2012 11:56 am
So here's the deal,  I love vintage clothing!  I would always look at vintage clothes online and in stores.  The thing that sucked was I knew I was never going to find anything my size!  That was such a bummer to me :(  Well guess what!  I just ordered my first vintage item by picture only and that bad boy fit!  I love the dress and will post a pic when I get a chance!  This makes me so flippin' happy!  I just wanted to share and say GO SLEEVE!!!!

Losing inches
on January 22, 2012 1:18 pm
I always have a love hate relationship with the losing inches portion of my journey.   The scale stands still but my clothes are getting loose.  I like seeing the numbers go down on the scale because it it more concrete to me.  I love the smaller me but seeing that scale stay the same bothers me.  I don't get upset during these weeks I just continue on the ride.  One good note about losing inches is I just bought a pair of Lucky Brand jeans wait for it.......size 10  so awesome!  I think I get satisfaction from the scale moving down because it's easy to see and free.  The inch game costs me more money!

New Scale and Onederland!
on January 5, 2012 8:46 am
So I finally received my scale last night and Oh boy!  what a difference!  This scale actually gives me the same weight every time I step on it!  I compared it to my old scale and my old scale is between 2-5lbs off?  Who knew!  Because of this I think I actually made it to onederland awhile ago and my scale was to squirrely to give me an accurate weight.  So happy to be at onederland and see that magic 1!   Sidenote:  Going to the gym again feels so good!

Stuck!
on January 1, 2012 4:35 pm
I hate being stuck right now!  I am stuck at 200 with a 2lb bounce.  I just want to see those magic numbers 1-9-9.  I know I haven't done everything I need to do!  Food is good, water is good but the exercise is a bust.   Iknow I will get to my goal weight and I need to stop worrying so much, but it just stinks.  I VOW to start exercising regularly!  The buck stops here!

My Story

Hi my name is Christie and I am 5'6 3/4 tall I have been overweight since I can remember.  I recall the nurse giving my mom a letter in elementary school stating that I am in the 90th percentile of weight for my age.  I never really struggled with weight loss because I really didn't diet.  I was a pretty confident girl and most of the women in my family had weight issues.  I can remember being 12 years old and being a size 12.  Same for the ages of 14, 16, 18, and by the time I was 20 I was a size 24.  Didn't worry about weight in college actually had a blast!  I started to worry about my weight when I graduated and lost a lot of support from my family and friends. I did the usual diets such as WW and the crazy soup diet as well as the grapefruit diet .   I started to think about WLS after my wedding when my Highest weight was 289. Once diagnosed with pre-diabetes and high blood pressure,  I got away from the number REAL quick with diet!  But my issue was substaining the weight loss.  I can keep losing the same 50 lbs over and over or I can do something,  and with diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea around the corner, This was go time!  So here I am weighting (pun intended) to make the most important change in my life (besides marrying my hubs)!
