Surgeon Testimonial

Albert T. Spaw, M.D.
Dr. Spaw is a very talented and well known surgeon in Nashville. I have been very pleased and impressed with the way he's handled my case. That's not entirely true. I've been elated, overjoyed and terribly relieved.rnrnI argued with him about doing the DS in two steps, but in retrospect, I can see that he was right. My recoveries from both surgeries were spectacularly easy. I think if I'd undergone the combination surgery that undoubtedly would not have been the case.rnrnHe is very personable and his office staff are very helpful, which is important! They not only seem to be of good will, but they are intelligent and well informed enough to be effective.rnrnMy DS scar is a thing of beauty. A plastic surgeon couldn't have done a better job! Postop visits are thorough, and I don't feel that I am rushed through the visits, either by the staff or by Dr. Spaw.

Hi.  I'm Dennie.  A former RN on disability.  I've got all the coomorbidities, but much of the obesity came after the other problems!  I'd lost  almost 165#  with diet and exercise in the late 1980s and early '90s.  I was still losing weight until 2000, when my health fell apart..  I found that the secret to me being able to lose weight was getting a lot of exercise.  I got sick and weak and unable to exercise and my weight has shot up.   So that's that.   I'm middle aged (if I live to be over 100), married and I have two grown daughters, and a 16 month old grandson!
