EGD Day!

Today was the day....woke up, dry mouth, really thirsty, couldn't even have a sip of water! UGH! I was to be there at 8:45 a.m. this morning, and of course, I went to the wrong surgery center..lol...I went to one on the other side of the hospital, well, apparently there are 2 surgery centers, and they're on opposite sides of the hospital...ay ya ya...so, i am about 5 minutes late when i finally get there. This lady, I think it was a volunteer lady in a pink jacket, she takes me to a room and my hubby and i are sitting there in the room for a whole 45 minutes....people keep passing by, look in the room, nobody asks questions, so we're just hangin out.  So then, this lady walks by in the hall, stops and talks to another nurse and says, "what happened to my next one?" the other nurse says, "what next one?" she says, "Dana Greene" I yelled, "I'm in here!" lol...they were like, when did you get here? I said, well, I got here at 8:50 and mind you, this occurred at 9:40, so all of a sudden, i have the greatest nurses, Seriously! Dallas and Anna...the best! Christine, my nurse that took me to the surgery room...awesome! I will say this, I was poked 3 times to get an iv started but that's because my veins are so stubborn and they blow all the time! Then I found out that I have a sensitivity to latex because i started having welps on my arms...lovely...just have to watch that. Did I get to see Dr. Hachem??? HECK NO!!! well, I lied, only once when he walked by my room before I had the EGD, did I get to smell him, NO! LOL..
I have such a crush on that man, God Forgive me! lol...all in all, my EGD went great, I just remember them spraying my throat once, asking me what my choice of drink was, and I said, pina colada, and the nurse said, she just gave you 2, and i said, give me 2 pina coladas, one for each hand, and then i woke up and it was all done! My throat is a bit sore, but all in all it went well. not that bad of an experience. I did come home and sleep...ALOT!
